How to Make a Strawberry Daiquiri
Are you looking for the perfect strawberry daiquiri recipe? Look no further, this recipe is super quick and easy and makes a perfectly sweet frozen strawberry daiquiri!
This frozen daiquiri is filled with pure strawberry flavor. An easy cocktail recipe that is perfect for two and can be doubled or tripled for a party. Once you try this homemade daiquiri recipe, you will be skipping the store-bought daiquiri mix!
Why Make this Strawberry Daiquiri?
This is the best strawberry daiquiri recipe because it is so quick and easy with real ingredients and no daiquiri mix is required. I mean, who knows what’s actually in those pre-made mixes!
Ingredients Needed for the Best Strawberry Daiquiri
Using frozen berries eliminates the need for ice cubes. You still get that wonderful frozen consistency without watering down the strawberry flavor. I also like to throw in a few fresh strawberries if I have them for a burst of pure strawberry flavor.
- Strawberries: Fresh and Frozen. The fresh fruit adds the bold flavor of sweet strawberries and the frozen fruit gives it that icy texture for the best frozen strawberry daiquiri.
- Simple Syrup: Made with equal parts boiling water and sugar.
- Light Rum: We are using Bacardi Superior, we think it’s the best rum at an affordable price for this type of cocktail. Feel free to use your favorite brand, no need for top shelf rum in a mixed drink.
- Fresh Lime Juice: Fresh is best but if you can’t get fresh limes, look for Nellie & Joe’s Key West Lime Juice. Lemon juice is another option if you don’t have limes. The lime balances out the sweetness of the strawberries and is the signature flavor to any daqiuiri.
How to Make a Strawberry Daiquiri
- Place fresh and frozen strawberries into a blender or food processor along with simple syrup, rum and lime juice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve in your favorite cocktail glass and garnish with fresh strawberries.
How to Make a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri
If you have kids, just substitute Sprite for the rum and they won’t feel left out! I know you are going to love this classic as a cocktail or a mocktail.
For the best results use blender or food processor to make a homemade strawberry daiquiri. I blew out my blender some time back so I made these in my food processor, either way it couldn’t be easier.
Strawberry daiquiris can be served in any glass that you prefer. I like to serve them in old fashioned glasses for casual occasions or coupe glasses for cocktail parties.
Best Occasions for Strawberry Daiquiris
Serve strawberry daiquiris for a date night in, girl’s night or cocktail parties. They are delicious enough for special occasions like July 4th celebrations, Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve parties. It’s also easy enough for casual gatherings like a pool party on a hot summer day.
More Daiquiri Cocktails to Try
- Frozen daiquiris are popular for any occasion. Our Peach Daiquiris are always a hit and lately we’ve been combining two of our favorites for a Strawberry Peach Daiquiri.
- The classic Daiquiri is made simply with lime. The original daiquiri sours were the shaken daiquiri, not frozen. The frozen varieties became popular a little later. Either way you serve them, they are delicious.
- The Banana Daiquiri is a great dessert cocktail for a girls night or date night in. Made with ripe bananas and a hint of vanilla plus your favorite light rum.
- Pineapple Daiquiri is a tropical cocktail that is perfect for any little get together with friends or to sip by the pool.
Almost every time I go grocery shopping, I pick up a carton of strawberries. Sometimes they are gone by the end of the day and sometimes I get busy and forget that they are in the fridge. So I end up with lots of frozen strawberries and they are the best for making frozen cocktails
I came across a baggie of frozen berries the other day and decided a slushy cocktail was in order. Best idea I’ve had all week!
I am a total strawberry fanatic so it’s no surprise that I am loving this Easy Strawberry Daiquiri cocktail. The ingredients are simple but the combination is beyond delicious! Especially if you have sweet, ripe, real strawberries.
Whether you are hosting a big birthday bash or just a get together with friends, give this strawberry daiquiri recipe a try! It’s sure to be the hit of the party.

Why tell us your life story before the 2-step recipe? Wasted over a minute of my life reading your banal drivel
Hi George,
Everyone has the option of using the “jump to recipe” button at the top to avoid my banal drivel and just get the free recipe or buy a cookbook.
~ Milisa
well said Melissa
Dear George- Is your rude comment truly necessary? Perhaps the rum will present you with a more agreeable attitude. Thank you Melisa for this easy & delish recipe!
Grow up George
I swear!!! So annoying it is to read nonsense stories before scrolling down to the actual recepie.
Hi Kay,
Next time, use the “jump to recipe” button at the top of the page and you can easily access the recipe card without all of my nonsense stories. Also do you realize I’m a real person here, providing you a recipe for free?
~ Milisa
Did you not notice the jump to recipe option, or do you just like to complain?
i guess you never heard of “jump to recipe” button or CTRL/END idiot lol
You are very rude and ignorant. It isn’t hard to see your options at the top of this page. If you read her story it was because you were in to big a hurry to move down.
Wow jerk much?????
Why be rude JUST BE KIND
They all do it. I don’t get it either but every recipe or directions we get on Pinterest there is a life story behind it.
You are a rude idiot! This recipe is amazing !
This comment is wrong on so many levels. Gimme gimme gimme, how old are you? And a little courtesy for someone who works hard to put a post up please! At the very top of this post it says “jump to recipe”. Click on that and you jump right to the recipe, with no foul language needed!
Thanks Karen. I have removed that inappropriate comment. Some people need to use some common sense and good manners!

Loving this sweet strawberry bevvy! Thanks for the recipe!
Jenn,
This was delicious!! An alcoholic slushie?! Dangerous but so tasty! Thanks for sharing your recipe! 🙂
Oops!! I got confused with where I scrolled to comment! I think I replied to someone instead! Didn’t mean to call you Jenn!! 😂
I made these for me and Mrs. Great cocktail! I wish I had one right now!
Thanks Wayne! So glad y’all liked it!
How many does this particular recipe make? And if I make this recipe for one or two people should I keep it in freezer until I or we get thru it all? Or is refrigerator ok?
Nevermind figured it out, made it tonight! Wonder what it would be like without the simple syrup? I will try that next Very good thank you!
Hi! I was wondering how many cups it makes? It just says 2 servings, but I want 5o make ot for an event, so I need to be able to put it into bulk numbers.
Hi, how much does this make in millilitres? I’m planning for a party and each glass is 175ml
I find it quite annoying when I go to a site to get a recipe and all I get is all these stories and commentary and never can find the recipe!
Hi Christine,
The recipe cards are at the very bottom of the post.
~Milisa
that’s exactly the problem lol we don’t need your life’s story, just the recipe
Oh, I so agree!!
i guess you never heard of “jump to recipe” button or CTRL/END idiot lol
I don’t understand these comments. Right under the recipe name, you can click on “jump to recipe”
Rude. Thanks Milisa for the recipe! Much appreciated 🙂
i guess you never heard of “jump to recipe” button or CTRL/END idiot lol
JUST BE KIND
Thanks Janine!
Search engine optimization. Without the content, you wouldn’t be able to find the recipe 🙂
i guess you never heard of “jump to recipe” button or CTRL/END idiot lol
What are the ingredients and how does it serve
Very good! This is a great cocktail if you don’t care for a strong alcohol taste. I subbed club soda for the lemon-lime soda. I rimmed the glass with granulated sugar. Thanks you for sharing.
Hi Dustin,
Glad you enjoyed it!
~ Milisa
Why’d you write so much about yourself?!? Just tell me the recipe
Hi Austin,
Next time, just use the “jump to recipe” at the top of the page and you can skip the information and stories in between.
~ Milisa
i guess you never heard of “jump to recipe” button or CTRL/END idiot lol
This daiquiri looks so refreshing and yummy. My hubby and I are definitely making this for the weekend. I can’t wait to make these! Saved to my bookmarks!
Enjoyed this on yet another hot day, and it was the perfect taste of the tropics! Easy, refreshing and delicious!
Anyone heard of oz? How the hell do you measure frozen chunks of strawberries in cups? WTF?
Is it possible to just just sugar and blend it really well? Instead of simple syrup?
I bet that would work!
~ Milisa
I used agave syrup and it turned out perfect! Great recipe!
I used agave syrup and it was perfect. I’m sure any type of syrup would work, granulated sugar may not dissolve properly because of how cold it is. Great recipe! Well done Mellisa 🙂
Thanks Anna!
The hit of my book club gathering..we enjoyed every last drop of these.
So glad y’all enjoyed them!
~ Milisa
Thank you very much for this ingenious and delicious recipe. I love it. And I love your life story too.
Thanks Elena
Definitely a “miss” on the proportions. Does not even come close to the classic definition of a “daiquiri” with an ingredient-to-rum ratio of more than 8 to 1. You should rename this recipe to “non-daiquiri slushy”. It’s fine what you did; just don’t dare call it a daiquiri! Pu-leeze!
a-hole
If people don’t want to read a nice “blog”, “short story” then use All Recipes or Food Network STOP all the negative trolling. Thanks for another great recipe!
Dis shiz do be some good shiz! Yall gnome wha’ im sayin yo? Shiz do be slappin harder n fugg yoooo. Dis whaz up, yessir!
I’ll never pass up on making daiquiris and really loved your recipe! They were a hit with my guest! I’m looking forward to the warmer weather where I will be enjoying them often!
Thanks Gina! So glad y’all enjoyed them.
~ Milisa
I find it extremely annoying all the people complaining about how they have to read a story before getting to the recipe. All you have to do is simply scroll or his the “jump to recipe ” button (which I have seen many people say). Why is it that everyone has to be so rude to someone posting a FREE recipe. They obviously don’t understand what goes into creating a recipe or posting it for everyone to see. They just want instant gratification and can’t take literally 1 second to push a button or scroll to the bottom. Also, you might read the post before the recipe as sometimes it offers pictures of the process, different variations or other useful information. I swear people nowadays never learned “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
Hi Athena,
Thanks for stopping by and I couldn’t agree more! My grandma taught me not to say anything if I didn’t have anything nice to say!
~ Milisa
I have this recipe printed out and stuck to the fridge, that’s how often I make it in during the summer! So refreshing!
So glad you enjoy it!
~ Milisa
Do you have other daiquiris recipes which do not include strawberries. Husband and a friend of ours has diverticulitis and cannot have the seeds. I’ll definitely make this for me. LOL. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Anne,
I have a delicious Peach Daiquiri, Pineapple Daiquiri, and the Classic Daiquiri.
I’ll be trying this out tonight! I read the comments and just wanted to say that you didn’t even write that much “extra” content. And some people actually understand the blogging aspect of sharing recipes. Thanks for sharing this! I’m excited to try it!
Shyler,
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you love it as much as we do!
~ Milisa
Can’t wait to try the daiquiri. Hate the rude comments. If you can’t say something nice keep it to yourself. You aren’t impressing anyone just making yourself look like a fool. Again, thank you for the recipe.
Thanks Candi,
Hope you love it!
